No-Fault Divorce:

A no-fault divorce is where neither spouse is held responsible for the break-up of the marriage.   Parties are not required to prove that the other spouse did something wrong.  In some states, a couple must live apart prior to seeking a no-fault divorce.  A spouse may seek a no-fault divorce even if the other spouse does not consent to a divorce.  A spouse must simply declare a state approved of grounds for divorce such as irreconcilable differences, irretrievable breakdown or incompatibility.
