Loneliness can be overwhelming during the divorce process and after the divorce is final.  One of the hardest steps to take is to reestablish yourself outside of your ex-spouse.   Getting involved with other people and other things will assist you in your healing process.  Below are some suggestions to aid you in becoming reacquainted with the world outside of your ex-spouse:
 
·         Connect with old friends.  Make new friends.
·         Exercise, take a walk, play sports, etc.
·         Join a support group.
·         Become involved in community or church events and organizations.
·         Join a book club.
·         Go back to school.
·         Take a class or lessons.
·         Volunteer.
·         Take a vacation or weekend get away.
·         Go to the library.
·         Get active and involved with your children.
